"Steven has a real passion for ICF homes and truly cares about the families he is building for."

- Mrs. Boatright

“Touchstone Builders was very helpful during the design phase assisting my architect to design the house we wanted to build. Steven worked with federal, state and local governments to ensure permitting and that my home met FEMA and other mandates for building in a flood plain. The build of our home due to the scope and design and intense engineering parameters required innovative on the fly build adjustments which never daunted Steven. Steven worked diligently to keep the one of a kind project on budget. My family loves our home.”

“ I've known Steven for a number of years and knew that if the opportunity ever arose, I would want to live in a home built by him. Well, the opportunity did arise last summer and I'm now the proud owner of a home built by Steven Duncan of Touchstone Builders. The home is perfectly designed for my family and has a number of features that are not seen on many of today's modern homes. This is Steven's specialty! High quality, energy efficient, custom homes built to your needs and your budget. Bottom line is: We are overjoyed with the home Steven built, would not change a thing and have no reservations whatsoever recommending Steven Duncan and Touchstone Builders for your next home or remodeling project. Thank you Steven for building our dream home! ”

Steven brings more passion and attention to detail to his projects than any builder that I know of. He excels at difficult builds and always finds a way to make the end product look great! We spent nearly a year interviewing GC’s and designer/builders before settling on Steven. We had picked ICF construction after extensive research on energy efficient envelopes, only to find most area builders either are afraid of ICF (for no good reason other than it’s something new) or want to learn on your project. We were thrilled to find a veteran ICF enthusiast in Steven, who also brings a solid engineering background to the table for the more challenging structural aspects of a truly custom home, such as the large open areas in our house on both floors, and the challenging, rocky hillside build site that we chose. We couldn’t be happier with our end result - a 5,991 SF house with panoramic views facing due west, that still manages energy bills roughly equivalent to our former Energy Star certified production built house that was less than half its size. That former house also had the advantage of four very large old growth oaks on it’s Southern and Western sides to shade it. We are believers in both ICF and Steven
